The plate stayed outside on the balcony all winter, in some spots it showed a bit of rust, which came off after washing and after new seasoning, it's like new. I use it with 2 CAMPER GAZ Delux 500 Piezo, it sits steadily on both and grills everything, while I can control the temperature on each side of the grill.
It was worth its money.

It needs a double burner to heat up properly. With a single induction, it only grills in the spot above the coil, the rest of the surface can be used to keep already grilled food warm. At 180-220 degrees it grills well and the induction gives you the convenience to control the plate's temperature. The smoke and smell are inevitable, especially with fatty meats, but the taste is indeed better than an electric grill.
Cleaning is relatively easy, just follow the instructions on the packaging.
I recommend it for its price.
Note: A teppanyaki I have for years grills faster and with less effort, cleans quickly but does not give the taste of the cast iron plate or the smell of burnt fat on the meat. Cast iron is for those who want to get a bit more involved/bothered both with grilling and cleaning, and especially with maintenance, it's not for those who want something quick and "easy".
