Corrugated cardboard appeared around 1850 and was initially used for making hats, then for producing boxes that carry fragile objects. Over time, it began to be used for creating handcrafted items or toys.
Making figures out of corrugated cardboard is a particularly creative activity. First, the cardboard is rolled, then shaped into suitable forms, and from these, the figure is assembled. The possibilities offered by this technique are endless, limited only by our imagination.
Let's start working confidently and create figures from this book, as well as our own designs. The figures we create — clowns, dinosaurs, frogs, elephants, and more — can become toys or decorative pieces for indoor spaces that will brighten our homes.
This volume is recommended for kindergartens and schools, as the necessary materials are easily accessible, and beyond developing children's craft skills, rolling the corrugated cardboard strips also enhances their imagination.
