The PWPAC-10D filter by Purewave, made from 100% coconut shell, offers protection against a range of contaminants found in tap water, with emphasis on effective removal of lead as well as cysts down to 1 micron.

Its main features include:

  • Removal of sediments, sand, dirt, rust, and suspended solids down to 1 micron.
  • Removal of chlorine and pesticides.
  • Retention of ethers.
  • Retention of herbicides (Atrazine, Triazine, Glyphosate, Acetochlor).
  • Removal of pathogenic chemicals and organic pollutants.
  • Retention of chloroform.
  • Removal of cysts (Cryptosporidium, Giardia, Entamoeba, and Toxoplasma) down to 1 micron permeability.
  • Reduction of copper concentration and asbestos fibers.
  • Removal of heavy metals such as lead, mercury, and cadmium.
  • Retention of microorganisms and asbestos fibers.
  • Does not release carbon dust.
