The Superhero Registration Act has been passed, and now anyone who wishes to use their powers for good must agree to be trained and governed by S.H.I.E.L.D. or else face arrest. Iron Man fully supports the law, while Captain America is completely opposed. Ideas clash, hero versus hero, and in these difficult times, everyone must choose a side.

Civil War erupts on the scene of Marvel Champions: The Card Game! This time, there are no villains; instead, this expansion sees players facing heroic leaders fighting for their beliefs. On the registration side, Iron Man and Captain Marvel lead in support of the Superhero Registration Act, while Captain America and Spider-Woman lead the resistance. Each of these leaders comes with a fully customizable scenario, featuring a wide variety of main schemes and encounter sets to create your own unique Civil War experience. Tigra and Hulkling are added to the hero player roster, both featuring ready-to-play and customizable decks. Finally, the expansion also includes rules for a brand new, optional competitive mode where players compete to be the first to defeat the leader of the opposing team.
