Loctite Silicone Gasket sealant is designed to seal flexible flanges, as well as flanges made from pressed sheet metal. It bonds to metal, plastic, glass and ceramics and, when cured, forms a solid silicone elastomer. It is suitable for applications exposed to engine oils and for filling large gaps and accommodating movement during operation, such as in timing covers and oil pans.

The silicone cures at room temperature when exposed to moisture in the air. It does not corrode metals, has low volatility and odour, and does not interfere with oxygen sensor operation.
