The Artpol 53960 drill bit is designed for drilling metal and has an extended length of 330 mm. It is made of 4241 high-speed steel, with a hardness of 62 HRC and a point angle of 118°. Its right-hand Type N spiral flute and cylindrical shank have a diameter of 6 mm.

The standard point grind has no web thinning and is suitable for manual sharpening. Its surface has an oxide coating and complies with DIN 1869 II. Recommended cutting fluids include drilling emulsion, lubricating and cooling oil, or ester oil. It is suitable for workshop use on alloy and carbon steels up to 900 N/mm², grey and malleable cast iron, sintered iron, non-ferrous metals, and hardened plastics.
