Description

Package of 25 gr. containing the above-ground parts of the plant.

Other Names: Echinacea, Rudbeckia

Historical Information: Echinacea is a plant widely used by Native Americans in North America for the treatment of wounds, infections, and other diseases. It was cultivated and systematically used from the 19th century and introduced to Europe as a therapeutic agent. In Germany in 1938, studies began on the effectiveness of Echinacea, concluding that it boosts the immune system.

Properties: Research has shown that the plant contains active substances that stimulate the activity of white blood cells. The use of the plant has been proven beneficial in reducing common cold symptoms and exhibits antimicrobial properties. Studies suggest it may reduce the severity and duration of respiratory infections. It contains antioxidants that protect cells from oxidative damage.

Usage: 1 tablespoon of crushed echinacea is steeped with 1 glass of boiling water in a covered container, left for 10-15 minutes, and strained before use. Ideal for both vegetarians and vegans.

Origin: Greece, Imathia Prefecture (cultivated).

Storage: In a dark and cool place (5°C – 15°C).

Side Effects: May cause allergic reactions in individuals sensitive to plants of the Asteraceae family. Prolonged use without breaks is not recommended. People with autoimmune diseases or those taking immunosuppressive drugs should consult their doctor before use.

Important Note: The information is purely for informational purposes. The product is not intended for the treatment of human disease and does not constitute a dietary supplement or medicine, but a traditional herbal preparation. Its use should be under the guidance of a specialist.
