It is my first mechanical keyboard. I have used one only a few times in stores and at a friend’s place.
I searched quite a lot on YouTube, in conversations with AI, on websites, and I ended up quite easily with this keyboard as soon as I read its features.
- The brown switches, without experience with others, are wonderful. There is a tiny tactile feel (that is, the click you feel) that you have to try to notice, but it is enough. From the videos I watched, I expected it to be much more pronounced and luckily it is not.
- I feel some resistance in the keys throughout the press, which some gamers may not want. I do not find them heavy, but I imagine that the red switches, which are lighter, would be a better choice for speed or long hours of use(?). It does not bother me at all; on the contrary, it gives a feeling of quality and the key return is very fast.
- The sound is sweet and deep, and I cannot get enough of hearing it. Together with the feel of the keys, it is the first time I am typing and actually enjoying it.
- You can change all the keycaps and switches. It also includes extra switches and keycaps for Windows, as well as the tool to remove them.
- The letters will not fade and the plastic will not get shiny over the years because of the materials.
- It works on Mac and Windows.
- It is plastic on the outside and inside, with a metal plate and foam. It weighs around 800 g. In a bend test it has minimal flex, and you need force to make it happen.
- It is tall; you may need a wrist rest, and it also has 2 positions to raise it on the back side.
- It does not slip at all on glossy wood.
- Its LED lighting is not excessive. It is hidden between the keys and feels like it comes from a great depth. It also has two discreet strips on the sides. The only negative is that on some keys the light passing through the letters is not perfectly uniform. It does not bother me at all; it is not intense, but if you want to notice it, you will see it.
- It comes with funky stickers that I would never stick anywhere, but they are wonderful.
- The polling rate is 8000 Hz, excellent, though not necessary.
- You do not need any installed program to use it and change its settings.
There are two ways you can change its settings:
Through keyboard shortcuts, which of course are more limited.
Through the browser, by going to Keychron’s special page. The negative is that Firefox is not supported.
The program that runs in the browser is very beautiful, simple, and fast. It has many functions such as:
- Type test - It produces text with time, and at the end it gives you various statistics to help you improve.
- Help center - Information about everything.
- AI - It is slightly slow, but the two times I needed it, it gave me valuable help.
- Key Test - You can see whether all the buttons work.
- Firmware update
- Changing the polling rate and debounce.
- Endless options for macros.
- You can bind buttons so they directly run programs or open websites.
- Backlight - You can do whatever you want with the keyboard lighting, exactly as you imagine it.
- Snap Action - You change the way the keyboard behaves when you press two buttons at the same time.
- Key Map - Here you change what function each key has.
- From what I saw, you can also load profiles from other people with their own settings. I have not tried it yet, but it may be a great feature that can prove useful.
- Something I usually do not pay much attention to, but for this money it impressed me, is the unboxing. On the outside it has an excellent-quality matte cardboard sleeve with shiny gold letters. Inside there is a black matte hard box with an iridescent company logo, and when you open it everything is neatly arranged and there is a large colorful quick guide with keyboard shortcuts. All around the box there is gray, quality Styrofoam. I felt like I was unboxing my RTX5070ti again, except this one costs only 50€-60€.
Experienced users will not need this review, as they will know better than me what the more expensive models offer in addition.
I recommend it as a first mechanical keyboard to everyone. Just make sure it is the 8K. The cheaper one has some shortcomings compared to this one.
Είναι το πρώτο μου μηχανικό πληκτρολόγιο. Έχω χρησιμοποιήσει ελάχιστες φορές σε μαγαζιά και σε έναν φίλο μου.
Έψαξα αρκετά στο youtube, σε συνομιλίες με την AI, σε sites και κατέληξα αρκετά εύκολα σε αυτό το πληκτρολόγιο μόλις διάβασα τις δυνατότητές του.
- Τα brown switches χωρίς εμπειρία από άλλα είναι υπέροχα. Έχει μια απειροελάχιστη αίσθηση του tactile (δηλαδή του κλικ που νιώθεις) που πρέπει να προσπαθήσεις για να το καταλάβεις όμως είναι αρκετό. Από βίντεο που είδα το περίμενα πολύ πιο έντονο και ευτυχώς δεν είναι.
- Νιώθω μια αντίσταση στα πλήκτρα καθόλη την διάρκεια του πατήματος που ίσως κάποιοι gamers να μην θέλουν. Δεν τα νιώθω βαριά αλλά φαντάζομαι πως τα red switches που είναι πιο ελαφρια θα είναι πιο καλή επιλογή για ταχύτητα ή πολύωρη χρήση(?). Εμένα πάντως δεν με ενοχλεί καθόλου ίσα ίσα δείνει μία αίσθηση ποιότητας και η επαναφορά του πλήκτρου είναι ταχύτατη.
- Ο ήχος είναι γλυκός και βαθύς και δεν χορταίνω να τον ακούω. Μαζί με την αίσθηση απο τα πλήκτρα, είναι η πρώτη φορά που γράφω και το απολαμβάνω.
- Μπορείς να αλλάξεις όλα τα keycaps και τα switches. Επίσης δίνει έξτρα switches και keycaps για windows καθώς και το εργαλείο για να τα βγάλεις.
- Τα γράμματα δεν θα σβηστούν και το πλαστικό δεν θα γυαλίσει μέσα στα χρόνια λόγο υλικών.
- Λειτουργεί σε mac και windows.
- Είναι πλαστικό εξωτερικά και εσωτερικά, μεταλική πλάκα και αφρό. Ζυγίζει γύρω στα 800γρ. Σε bend test έχει ελάχιστο flex που χρειάζεται δύναμη για να το πετύχεις.
- Είναι ψηλό, μπορεί να χρειαστείτε wrist rest και έχει και 2 θέσεις για να το σηκώσεις στην πίσω του πλευρά.
- Δεν γλιστράει καθόλου πάνω σε γυαλιστερό ξύλο.
- Ο led φωτισμός του δεν είναι υπερβολικός. Κρύβεται ανάμεσα στα πλήκτρα και είναι σα να έρχεται από μεγάλο βάθος. Έχει και στα πλαϊνά δύο διακριτικές λωρίδες. Αρνητικό μόνο ότι σε κάποια πλήτρα το φως που περνάει μέσα απο τα γράμματα δεν είναι απόλυτα ομοιόμορφο. Δεν με ενοχλει καθόλου, δεν ειναι εντονο αλλά αν θες να το προσέξεις θα το δεις.
- Έρχεται μαζι με funky αυτοκόλλητα που δεν θα κολλούσα ποτέ αλλά ειναι υπέροχα.
- Polling Rate έχει 8000hz, εξαιρετικο, χωρίς όμως να είναι αναγκαίο.
- Δεν χρειάζεται εγκατεστημένο κανένα πρόγραμμα για να το χειριστείς και να αλλάξεις τις ρυθμίσεις του.
Υπάρχουν δύο τρόποι που μπορείς να αλλάξεις τις ρυθμίσεις του:
Μέσω συντομεύσεων στο πληκτρολόγιο που φυσικά είναι πιο περιορισμένο.
Μέσω του browser, μπαίνεις στην ειδική σελίδα της keychron. Αρνητικό όμως που δεν υποστηρίζεται ο Firefox.
Το πρόγραμμα που τρέχει από τον browser είναι πολύ όμορφο, απλό και γρήγορο. Από λειτουργίες έχει πολλές όπως:
- Τype test - Βγάζει κείμενο με χρόνο και στο τέλος σου αναφέρει δίαφορα στατιστικά για να βελτιωθείς.
- Help center - Πληροφορίες για τα πάντα.
- AI - Είναι ελαφρώς αργή αλλά δύο φορές που χρείαστηκε μου έδωσε πολύτιμη βοήθεια.
- Key Test - Βλέπεις όλα τα κουμπία αν λειτουργούν.
- Firmware updete
- Αλλαγεί του Polling Rate και του debounce.
- Άπειρες επιλογές για macros.
- Μπορεις να κάνεις bind κουμπιά ώστε απευθείας να τρέχουν προγράμματα ή να ανοίγουν ιστοσελίδες με αυτό.
- Backlight - Κάνεις ότι θες, όπως το φαντάζεσαι με τον φωτισμό του πληκτρολογίου.
- Snap Action - Αλλάζεις τον τρόπο που συμπεριφέρεται το πληκτρολόγιο όταν πατάς δύο κουμπιά ταυτόχρονα.
- Key Map - Εδώ αλλάζεις τι λειτουργία κάθε πλήκτρου.
- Από ότι είδα έχει να φορτώσεις και προφίλ άλλων ατόμων με τις δικές τους ρυθμίσεις. Δεν το δοκίμασα ακόμα αλλά ίσως είναι μία σπουδαία λειτουργία που μπορεί να φανεί χρήσιμη.
- Κάτι που δεν δίνω συνήθως σημασία αλλά για τα χρήματα αυτά μου έκανε εντύπωση, είναι το unboxing. Εξωτερικά έχει χάρτινο περίβλημα εξαιρετικής ποιότητας ματ με γυαλιστερά χρυσά γράμματα. Μέσα έχει ενα μαύρο ματ κουτί σκληρο. με ιριδίζον σήμα της εταιρείας και όταν το ανοίγεις όλα είναι όμορφα βαλμένα και έχει ενα χρωματιστό μεγάλο quick guide με συντομεύσεις του πληκτρολογίου. Όλο το κουτί γύρο γύρο έχει γκρι ποιοτικό φελιζόλ. Ένιωσα ότι κάνω unboxing ξανα την RTX5070ti που έχω μόνο που αυτό κοστίζει μόλις 50Ε-60Ε.
Οι έμπειροι δεν θα χρειαστούν αυτό το review καθώς θα ξέρουν καλύτερα από εμενα τι προσφέρουν παραπάνω τα πιο ακριβά μοντέλα.
Tο προτείνω σαν πρώτο μηχανικό πληκτρολόγιο σε όλους. Προσοχή απλά να είναι το 8K. Το πιο φτηνό έχει κάποιες ελλείψεις σε σχέση με αυτό.
