It can play amazingly well with more expensive equipment, amplifiers, and sources. It has a very nice tonal character and is very detailed across all frequencies, from lows to highs. However, note that this is not a bookshelf speaker but rather a fairly large standmount speaker, 42 cm tall. I listen to a spectrum of music from many genres except hard rock; fans of that genre should listen for themselves. Before buying it, I didn't believe it could be this good; now I recommend it for purchase as it is at a very good price, close to 600 euros
