City of Vancouver tulip bulb. Maximum height 55cm. The bulb is sold loose, per piece. The tulip is considered a relatively "easy" plant. Planting is done from early October until the end of November.

Planting instructions:

  • Do not remove the hard outer shell of the bulb, to protect it from pests.
  • Place the bulb with the tip upwards and the broad part downwards, covering it with soil.
  • Blooming occurs from March to May, depending on the variety, with a flowering duration of 15-20 days.

Tips for longer flowering duration:

  • Choose a location with partial shade and protection from strong sun.
  • Separate the bulbs into groups and plant them 7-10 days apart.
  • Plant at different depths to extend the flowering period.

Climate and soil:

  • Suitable planting position is northern or protected from winds.
  • Use sandy soil for good drainage, enriched with manure or compost.
  • For pots, prefer outdoor soil mixed with perlite.

Fertilization: Fertilization is recommended once a week during growth and up to 4 weeks after flowering.

After flowering: Continue watering and fertilizing for 2-6 weeks until the leaves dry out. Once dried, carefully dig up the bulb and store it in a cool and shady place.
