Visconti Van Gogh Flower Plum Orchard Rollerball pen. Each of the Visconti Van Gogh writing instruments is an absolutely unique composition, with colors drawn from the eponymous painting, but also with visible differences between the models in density and formations. This is the result of the processing of the resin from which the rods used to make the Visconti Van Gogh writing instruments are made. The blooming plum orchard is the second oil painting selected by Visconti from Van Gogh’s Japanese series. The artist created this painting in 1887 inspired by a Japanese print by Hiroshige, titled Plum Garden in Kameido. The ancient plum tree that was the subject of the original print had the poetic nickname "the plum of the sleeping dragon." Van Gogh accurately reproduced the composition with more intense colors, replacing the black and gray of Hiro’s trunk.
