Review this product
  • The card was bought 6 months ago, brand new from Newegg through eBay.
From the very first moment it showed problems. With the USB ports for mouse and keyboard in UEFI mode. But the more serious issue is that dual channel mode does not work on the RAMs!
I tried 4 different pairs, all of which worked on my other computers. Even RAM from the official list of compatible memory on ASUS’s website. When I repeatedly asked for the motherboard to be checked and replaced, the following happened.
    1. The Greek distributor referred me to the SELLER of the card (meaning the product’s international warranty does NOT apply; in fact, they told me that the part number is valid in the USA).
After I sent them the approved memory modules and told them that
    2. I have been blocked from communicating with the buyer and cannot even pass the problem on to him, with proof
    3. They replied with something, obviously ridiculous claims and some astronomically high prices for inspection and, note, repair, not replacement! And basically it was telling me, "we don’t give a damn about you" with the warranty of your new card.
And 4. eBay also ignored me completely when I made a full report of the problem.
Conclusion: avoid ALL ASUS products (terrible hassle, and with a ZEN laptop too, I have made a related review here). ASUS is not the company we knew 5–10 years ago. There is now a serious problem with both its products and its service.
