Mapei Mapesil AC silicone is a one-component, acetoxy-curing sealant that cures with atmospheric moisture. This elastic, thixotropic paste can be applied to horizontal and vertical surfaces and is suitable for sealing glass, ceramic tiles and anodized aluminum. With an adhesion primer, it can also be applied to concrete, wood, metal, painted surfaces, plastic and rubber.

It is used for expansion joints with movement of up to 25% and for flexible seals between building elements. It is mold-resistant and antibacterial, waterproof and vapor-permeable. Apply with a silicone gun at temperatures from +5 °C to +50 °C; it is not recommended for sealing aquariums.
