The review concerns the version with the 275HX and the RTX 5080 (Greek Keyboard)
The things it lacks, or rather the things Lenovo has put in second place, happen to be low-priority for me, so given the low price for the overall specs, it was a very good buy.
To start with, this laptop is my workstation (desktop replacement and for on-the-move use) for photo and video editing. Premiere and After Effects, it handles them very well and the difference from my previous laptop (6900HS + 3070Ti) is particularly noticeable.
Contrary to another user who listed the temperatures as a negative, I find it PARTICULARLY cool or, to put it differently, particularly quiet, with the cooling system working perfectly. The only negative, which is also related to the choices made in cooling so it doesn't bother me much, is its size. You might need a bag made for a 17" laptop. I had to get a new one because the bag that easily fit my previous 16" laptop doesn't fit this one.
The screen is very good, although I haven't really dealt with the included Pantone profiles since I connect it to my desktop monitor. By default, the default calibration is a bit warmer and at some point, I should check if the ready-made profiles offer something a bit more neutral. (update: I did a quick custom calibration with the Windows tool, tweaking the RGB values slightly, and matched it to my desktop monitor and I'm OK)
The processor is a beast. It delivers. Same for the 5080, which is probably the sweet spot in Nvidia's 5 series. I wish they had given a bit more memory to their cards this year... but what can you do.
As for RAM, for those interested, you can go up to 96GB (2x48GB). I did this upgrade because of video editing and it has worked flawlessly so far. (edit 28/12/2025: Glory and honor to those who need to buy memory. The 96GB I mentioned above I bought for 202 Euros in June. Right now, they cost 1008 Euros!!!)
I wish they had kept more of the ports at the back (e.g. charger port, 2.5Gbit ethernet, HDMI), it would have helped a lot but, as I said above, it wasn't something that would prevent me from buying, no super-big deal. I'm waiting for a docking station to arrive so most cables will be hidden, almost everything I connect now will go through the docking station hidden behind the laptop and only one USB-C plugged in on the side will be needed (apart from the charger port).
The charger is a beast, unfortunately. 400Watt (!)... and it weighs over 1kg by itself. It's not a negligible weight at all, it's an issue in the bag when carrying it. We'll survive, what can you do....
I've ordered and am waiting for a 140W Lenovo usb-c charger. 140W is the maximum this laptop can take via usb-c but (they say) you need to use a specific Lenovo charger because it has a special protocol that allows it. Any other usb-c PD charger that reaches or exceeds 100W is limited to 100W when connected. I recently tried a 65W PD. For browsing and emails it would be fine but for anything more it struggled badly (I had forgotten the big charger so I had to compromise). I hope at 140W the system can run a bit more comfortably. I don't expect it to work at 100%... but they say it reaches about 50%... which would probably be OK to be light on-the-move when I don't need full performance.
That's all for now.
The keyboard is very good, and generally the build quality feels at a high level. It gives you the sense that it was made to work well and for a long time without compromising for the sake of aesthetics.

The Lenovo charger that works at 140W has arrived. Everything perfect, it delivers all the Watts and the system generally works very close to 60+% compared to the regular 400W charger. Which means you can EASILY leave the big charger at home and carry something at half the weight. The system works just fine, I've even worked with video without any issues (not videos loaded with super heavy effects that bring the system to its knees even with 400W). Charger code: GX21M50626

Οσα του λείπουν ή καλύτερα έχει βάλει σε 2η μοίρα η Lenovo τυχαίνει να ειναι πραγματα χαμηλής προτεραιότητας για εμένα οπότε, δεδομένης της χαμηλής τιμής για τα γενικότερα specs, ήταν μια πάρα πολύ καλή αγορά.
Για αρχή, το laptop αυτό ειναι το workstation μου (desktop replacement και για on-the-move χρήση) για επεξεργασία φωτογραφιών και βίντεο. Premiere και After Effects, τα πάει πολύ καλά και η διαφορά με το προηγούμενο laptop μου (6900HS + 3070Ti) ειναι ιδιαίτερα αισθητή.
Σε αντίθεση με τον άλλο φίλο που εβαλε στα αρνητικά τις θερμοκρασίες, το βρίσκω ΙΔΙΑΙΤΕΡΑ δροσερό ή αν το παρουμε διαφορετικά, ιδιαίτερα ήσυχο, με το σύστημα ψύξης να λειτουργεί άψογα. Το μόνο αρνητικό που σχετίζεται όμως και με τις επιλογές που έγιναν στην ψύξη οπότε και δεν με απασχολεί ιδιαίτερα, είναι το μεγεθός του. Πιθανόν να χρειαστείτε τσάντα που ειναι φτιαγμένη για 17" laptop. Εγω χρειάστηκε να πάρω μια καινούργια γιατί η τσαντα που χωραγε ανετα το προηγούμενο 16άρι μου, αυτο δεν το χωράει.
Η οθόνη ειναι πολύ καλή, αν και δεν έχω ασχοληθεί ιδιαίτερα με τα προφιλ της pantone που περιλαμβάνονται μιας και το συνδέω στην desktop οθόνη μου. Εχει by-default λίγο πιο θερμό το default calibration και θα πρέπει κάποια στιγμή να δω μήπως δινει στα ετοιμα προφιλ κάτι λιγο πιο ουδέτερο. (update: Εκανα προχειρα ένα custom calibration με το tool των windows, παιζοντας ελαχιστα με τις RGB τιμές, την έφερα να κάνει match με την οθόνη του desktop και ειμαι ΟΚ)
Ο επεξεργαστής ειναι θηριάκι. Δίνει πόνο. Το ίδιο και η 5080, που μαλλον ειναι το sweet-spot στη σειρά 5 της Nvidia. Μακάρι να είχε δώσει λίγο παραπάνω μνήμη στις κάρτες της φέτος...αλλα τι να κάνουμε τώρα.
Απο μνήμη RAM, όσους ενδιαφέρει, μπορείς να φτάσεις μέχρι και 96GB (2x48GB). Εχω κάνει αυτό το upgrade λόγω του video editing και δουλεύει μέχρι τώρα απροβλημάτιστα. (edit 28/12/2025: Τιμή και δόξα σε όσους χρειαστεί να αγοράσουν μνήμη. Τα 96GB που αναφέρω πιο πάνω τα είχα αγοράσει 202 Ευρώ τον Ιούνιο. αυτη τη στιγμή έχουν 1008 Ευρω!!!)
Μακάρι να είχε κρατήσει αρκετά απο τα ports στο πίσω μέρος (πχ. βύσμα φορτιστή, ethernet 2.5Gbit, HDMI), θα βοηθούσε πολύ αλλά, όπως ειπα και παραπάνω, δεν ηταν απο τα αυτα που θα με απετρεπαν, no super-big deal. Περιμένω να μου έρθει ένα docking station οπότε τα περισσότερα καλώδια θα κρυφτούν από σχεδον όλα όσα συνδέω τώρα επάνω θα περνάνε μεσα απο το docking station κάπου κρυμμένα πίσω apo to laptop και μόνο ένα USB-C καρωμένο στα πλάγια θα χρειάζεται. (περα απο το βύσμα του φορτιστή).
Ο φορτιστής ειναι γαιδούρι, δυστυχώς. 400Watt (!)...και είναι πανω απο 1kg μόνος του. Δεν είναι καθόλου αμελητέο βάρος, είναι θέμα στην τσάντα όταν το κουβαλάς. ΘΑ ζήσουμε, τι να κάνουμε....
Εχω παραγγείλει και περιμένω έναν 140W usb-c φορτιστή της Lenovo. 140W είναι το μέγιστο που μπορεί να πάρει μέσω usb-c το lalptop αυτό αλλά (λένε) πρέπει να χρησιμοποιήσεις συγκεκριμένο φορτιστή της Lenovo γιατί έχει ειδικό πρωτόκολο που το επιτρέπει. Οποιοσδήποτε άλλος φορτιστής usb-c PD που φτάνει η ξεπερνά τα 100Watt περιορίζεται στα 100Watt όταν συνδεθεί. Δοκίμασα πρόσφτα εναν PD 65W. Για browsing και emails δεν θα είχε θέμα αλλά για κάτι περισσότερο αγκομαχούσε άσχημα (είχα ξεχάσει τον μεγάλο φορτιστή οπότε επρεπε να συμβιβαστώ). Ελπίζω στα 140watt να μπορεί να παίξει λίγο πιο άνετα το σύστημα. Δε περιμέλνω να δουλεψει στο 100%...αλλά λένε οτι φτάνει περίπου στο 50%....το οποίο μάλλον θα ηταν ΟΚ για να είμαι ελαφρύς on-the move όταν δεν χρειάζομαι full απόδοση.
Αυτά προς το παρόν.
Το πληκτρολόγιο είναι πολύ καλό, και γενικά η αίσθηση της ποιότητας κατασκευής είναι σε υψηλκά επίπεδα. Σου δίνει την αίσθηση οτι φτιάχτηκε για να δουλέυει καλά και για καιρό χωρίς να έχουν κάνει εκπτώσεις για χάρη της αισθητικής.

Έχει έρθει ο φορτιστής της Lenovo που δουλέυει στα 140W. Ολα αψογα, δίνει ολα τα Watt και το σύστημα γενικά δουλεύει πολύ κοντα στο 60+% απ'ότι σε σχέση με τον κανονικό φορτιστή των 400W. Που σημαίνει οτι ΑΝΕΤΑ μπορείς να αφήνεις τον μεγάλο φορτιστή στο σπίτι και να κουβαλάς κατι στο μισό βάρος. το σύστημα δουλέυει μια χαρά, μέχρι και βίντεο έχω δουλέψει χωρίς κανένα θέμα (οχι βιντεο που φορτώνονται με θεόβαρα effects που γονατίζουν το σύστημα και με τα 400W).
