Echinacea
Echinacea has been established for its antiseptic, antiviral, and peripheral vasodilatory properties. It is used in cases of septicemia, rhinopharyngeal catarrh, purulence, tonsillitis, and especially in boils, nasal rashes, and abscesses.
The tincture or decoction of the herb is used for aphthae, purulence, and gingivitis. Externally, it is used as a lotion for the treatment of infected wounds and scratches.
Usage: The root of the herb is prepared as a decoction. Pour 1-2 teaspoons of root into a cup of water and once it boils, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. The drink should be consumed three times a day. If taking tincture, drink 1-4 ml three times a day.
