Expanding polyurethane liquid foam system with 2 components. A 2-component expanding polyurethane in liquid form for casting and filling voids in various spaces (e.g., watertight boat hulls, water heaters, truck refrigerators). The result of the union is lightweight and offers buoyancy, thermal insulation, sound insulation, and rigidity. When externally plasticized with polyester resins and reinforcing fiberglass, it gains additional strength.

The 2 components must be mixed well in a ratio of 1:17 by weight, and casting must be done immediately, as the polyurethane will start to expand right away, and in about 1 minute it will be fully expanded. Ratio 1:1 by volume. Ratio 1:1.17 by weight. 20kg fills one m³.

Manual casting process:

• Weigh the polyol and isocyanate into clean mixing cups.
• Mix quickly, ensuring that the mixture is completely homogeneous.

As the product is very reactive, it's necessary to complete these steps quickly.

Safety measures during use:

• It is recommended to wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles.
• Work in a well-ventilated area.

Notes:

• If the amount you mixed and cast does not fill your mold, wait until the 1st mixture is close to the Demolding Time, and at the same time you will notice that its temperature has started to drop, then pour the 2nd mixture on top.
• The polyurethane sticks immediately to the previous polyurethane.
• You can add suitable pigments into the polyol to color the polyurethane mass.
• Mix the mixture again very well and proceed to cast. Always put the pigment into the polyol and never into the isocyanate.

The pigments used for this application are special to be compatible with the polyurethane and must be solvent-based, but without containing styrene.
