The SKC hand tap set is used to cut internal threads in metal surfaces. It includes three M8 taps with a 1 mm pitch: No. 1 for easy starting in unmachined materials, No. 2 for general use and for threads that do not extend to the bottom of the hole, and No. 3 for cutting threads all the way to the bottom.

Before use, drill a hole using a rotary drill, with a diameter larger than the tap’s core diameter and smaller than the outer diameter of the desired thread. Use a tap wrench or tap ratchet to turn the tap. Cutting oil helps ensure a smoother process.
