Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time for PS5 follows the adventure of the player and archaeologist Edward on a deserted island, where a fossilized dragon remnant leads to the discovery of a mysterious passage. Traveling between the island as it was 1,000 years ago and its present-day form, the player searches for the cause of its destruction.
The 14 different “Lives” function as professions and determine the player’s activities: gathering materials, crafting weapons and cooking, as well as fighting monsters. Players can switch between them at any time, while gathered resources are used to restore the island. Players can also shape the landscape, carve out rivers and roads, place houses and objects, and expand and decorate their home.
Exploration includes climbing, swimming in rivers and lakes, and traveling across mountains. The game supports multiplayer for up to 4 players, as well as two-player cooperative play on the same console with a second controller, without an internet connection.
