Butterfly Intravenous Scalp Vein

Intravenous butterflies from Romed in individual sterile Peel Pack packaging. They feature a luer lock (female) tip and a triple sharpened needle with a silicone-coated tip for reduced friction. Tube length of 30cm and needle 3/4" (19mm). Color: Pink.

Indications for use:

• Peripheral venous access for therapeutic purposes, specimen collection of biological material.
• Repeat short-term injection or injection of small volumes of medicines or blood derivatives.
• Single blood draw.
• Difficult or small diameter veins, such as in infants and children, and normal adult veins.

Intravenous butterflies are sterile, single-use medical devices equipped with a butterfly needle connected to a flexible tube. The tube is fitted with a Luer Lock or Luer slip connector, allowing for a secure connection to the infusion line. They are mainly used for blood collection and quick small injections of injectable solutions, especially in pediatric patients.
