    It is not 100% cotton to begin with. Only the outer part is cotton, and on the inside there is a very fine synthetic fabric like mesh, which is definitely not compatible with the ministry's instructions for double cotton fabric. I doubt whether it therefore provides protection. In addition, it is small for children over 7-8 years old
