I had the G1 and moved to the G5 at the beginning of 2026.
The picture quality of the worst OLED panel is better than the best LED or QLED. The G-class panels are not entry-level, they are premium, so they are not comparable.
The brightness is impressive. In the middle of the day, with the sun high up, you don't see reflections from the window.
The sound is one click below what I would like, but a soundbar fixes it.
EON's sports don't run in 4K and that was the reason I replaced it with Cosmote TV. Real 4K, and you can even see the pores of the skin.
The G1, for the 5 years I've had it, has not had the slightest problem, so I am sure that the G5 will also be trouble-free. Don't listen to stories about burn-in. They are stories from people who have a friend.
The menu bothers me too. I prefer the old one, but LG doesn't give you the option to choose, so let's move on.
I haven't noticed any lag, bugs, or software problems. All the apps work flawlessly, and the TV's cooperation with the phone is perfect.
If it means anything about the network, I use Ethernet with a cat6 cable on a TP-Link xx532v router at 1Gbps.
The TV is of course on the wall like a frame. The application on the wall is exact. A real jewel.
Anyone who can afford such a serious amount for a TV purchase will not regret it.
