Chips are the most flexible and economical method of extracting oak and contributing during the fermentation and/or aging of your wine. They help and add structure to wines and increase the length of the final wine. The surface is such that it imparts tannins and adds to the structure of the wine within a week. It also allows for better aromatic extraction in lighter wines.
