Each filament is braided using micro-pitch technology and then undergoes a special thermal treatment, so that each filament bonds with all the others. The result is a spool that is perfectly round and firm, with zero elasticity, which could not be achieved with conventional threads.

The abrasion resistance has been greatly improved and is about three times higher than other threads.

The Super X8 thread also undergoes a special water-repellent treatment:

• Water absorption has been reduced.
• The thread dries quickly.
• The management of the thread, as well as the retention of foreign particles like dust, has been drastically reduced.

This treatment reduces friction as the thread passes through the guides, increasing casting distance and making winding onto the mechanism smoother.
