Description

The Musical Fidelity M8xTTB Turntable, designed by Anthony Michaelson, delivers a majestic, warm, and rich sound. The design uniquely reflects this sonic character. The main idea is to combine a massive metal frame with non-resonant acrylic. The new M8xTT follows the same design philosophies, now with even more advanced technical specifications.

The 10-inch base features a brand-new ultra-low resonance design from Musical Fidelity. It includes a transparent acrylic ring for the platter and a conical aluminum tube. The base is fully adjustable for VTA and azimuth and comes with two counterweights suitable for cartridges weighing from 6 to 20g. The counterweights are TRE-damped to prevent vibrations.

The back of the turntable includes standard RCA phono outputs as well as balanced XLR sockets, offering absolute flexibility for your choice of phono preamp.

Motor and Platter

The motor is mounted on a special foam on the underside of the acrylic frame to isolate it from the platter and the frame. The electronic speed control allows easy switching between 33 and 45 RPM. A silicone belt connects the motor to the double TRE-damped platter, which is made of aluminum with additional inputs for enhanced absorption.

Feet

Four heavy TRE-damped aluminum feet with magnetic support connect the two acrylic frames, separated by Teflon. The feet are height-adjustable by turning the central collar, allowing precise alignment of the turntable.
