The story follows 19-year-old Jennifer, who gets trapped in an orphanage run by a group of girls known as "The Red Crayon Aristocrats." The game is not based on "jump scares," but on psychological horror and surrealism, exploring themes such as bullying, isolation, and traumatic childhood memories.

Brown and the Search System

The most important innovation in gameplay is Brown, a loyal Labrador Retriever dog who accompanies Jennifer. Brown is not just a companion, but a vital survival tool:

  • Searching (Scenting): You can give Brown objects to smell, and he will lead you to hidden items, ammunition, or food.

  • Warning: Brown barks when enemies are approaching, helping you prepare for battle.

  • Distraction: During fights, Brown can keep enemies busy so that Jennifer (who is quite weak in combat) can attack or escape.
