It is placed on the main water supply. A key is required for easy replacement of the filter cartridge. Turn off the water supply, vent the filter device from the vent, and then unscrew the housing with the key. Remove the old filter and insert the new one. Screw the housing carefully, so that the O-ring does not come out of place. Tighten with the key, close the vent, and turn on the water supply. It has no direction, it can be inserted from both sides into the device.
