Description

Improve your skin’s texture and radiance with The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner. A watery exfoliating lotion with AHA that removes dead skin cells, reduces fine lines, and provides an even tone.

Effective Exfoliation and Rejuvenation

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner is a water-based toning lotion that relies on the action of glycolic acid (AHA) at a concentration of 7%. This ingredient provides gentle chemical exfoliation, removing accumulated dead cells from the skin’s surface and supporting natural cell renewal. Regular use helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles, giving the skin a smoother and more rested appearance. It is a solution for managing dullness, restoring lost radiance to the face.

Balancing Texture and Natural Protection

The product’s formula has been carefully calibrated with a pH between 3.5 and 3.9, achieving the optimal balance between effectiveness and skin protection. To reduce irritation often associated with the use of fruit acids, it contains a derivative of Tasmanian Pepperberry extract, which soothes the skin. It is worth noting that due to the natural origin of this ingredient, the color of the lotion may show slight variations depending on the season, without affecting its quality.

Enriched Formula for Hydration and Versatility

Beyond the action of glycolic acid, the product incorporates amino acids that mimic the skin’s natural moisturizing factors, keeping moisture levels stable. Ginseng root extract helps improve uneven skin tone, while aloe leaf water provides extra freshness. Its action is not limited only to the face and neck, as it can be used on small areas of the body with a rough texture, as well as on the scalp to reduce dryness and balance the area.

Who is it for:

This product is suitable for all skin types showing uneven texture, roughness, or lack of radiance. It is a clean, vegan and cruelty-free formula that does not contain alcohol, oils, silicones, or gluten, reducing the burden on the skin. However, this particular lotion should not be used on sensitive, irritated, peeling, or injured skin. Due to the increased sun sensitivity caused by AHAs, the use of sunscreen during the day is essential.

Application Instructions and Tips

For application on the face and neck, use the product once a day, ideally during your evening routine, applying it with a cotton pad or with your fingers, avoiding the eye area. For application on the scalp, use it on dry skin 3 times a week, tilting your head back and applying the product with the special nozzle from front to back, massaging well. The product does not need to be rinsed off. It is recommended to perform a patch test on a small area before the first full use.

Great gentle exfoliant. I use once a week every Sunday night as I alternate tazarotene other nights.

Seeing the comments, this is not supposed to hydrate but slough off dead skin cells which can accumulate especially if using retinoids.

Instructions say to use everyday but this is too much for me personally.

You can also use on your bumpy arms and your dark elbows (I do this ‍♀️).

It’s a good product to have in your cabinet in general.

Should also add that the Ordinary is not my go to company but this and their salicylic acid serum are good products.
