The action of the game Against the Storm takes place in the role of Viceroy, a leader entrusted by the Scorched Queen to reclaim the wilderness and discover lost riches for the Smoldering City, the last protected civilization against the Blightstorm that destroyed the old world. Unlike most survival city builders, where the focus is on a single city, in Against the Storm you need to build an extensive and thriving network of settlements, composed of various fantasy tribes, each with their own specializations and needs.

The wilderness hides many hidden dangers, and endless storms will strike your population.

If your settlements collapse, the mission may end – but not the game. Against the Storm is a roguelite city builder, meaning you carry over resources, upgrades, and experience from previous missions each time you start a new journey into the wild.

The new expansion Against the Storm - Keepers of the Stone introduces a new tribe, two new biomes, and a series of new buildings, quests, dangers, and opportunities for every Viceroy ready for the challenge. The Frogs join forces to face the storm, bringing their skills in masonry and their love for water. Meanwhile, a change in tides has revealed new dynamics deep below – the Coastal Groves have finally become accessible after countless cycles beneath the flood.

Although they remain isolated and difficult to access, the ancient submerged settlements of the region hide great treasures waiting to be discovered. At the same time, unique opportunities arise in the once lively forests abandoned by industrial progress – the Ashen Thicket is filled with broken logs and remnants of a bygone era, waiting for a capable Viceroy to restore its forgotten glory.
