Purchased about 2 weeks ago because an old 720p LG 32-inch in the living room broke down. As much as I have used it, I can say I have a relatively complete opinion! First of all, the TV is 100% value for money! Very good viewing angles! Fortunately, I have it at a relatively large distance because, honestly, 1080p on a 32-inch is a bit blurry! Regarding the panel, I have set dynamic HDR with color saturation changed from 60 to 50 because the colors were excessive, especially the greens and the white-yellows, and that was the problem that bothered me from the start with its picture, and I couldn't figure out what it was! Now, its speakers are fine, nothing extreme, but clear! It also has a function called Backdrop on TCL TVs, which you basically disable because if you're on YouTube, for example, after 5 minutes it automatically exits YouTube and throws you to a kind of screensaver. I will probably return soon for anything else that comes up!
P.S. The remote control is very good, although it's one of the lightest remotes I have ever held in my life. The only thing that bothered me is that the mute button is at the top left, whereas for convenience it should be roughly in the center... Just like the TV is super light, but that doesn't mean the build quality is bad!
On the negative side, I would only mention that it sometimes lags a bit and that its menu is a bit weird! Regarding a strange noise that the TV makes, which was mentioned in another review, that's not true, so probably that particular unit was defective!
1/10/2025 About 15 days later, I'm coming back to mention some strange things I noticed, not particularly negative but worth mentioning:
1. If you connect speakers to the TV while it's off, sometimes it makes some weird sounds, like a beep and then after 10 seconds another beep, like an electric sound, quite loud, and in between, the TV loses its power connection because its white light turns off (ALL THIS WHILE IT IS OFF).
This is probably because the connection is via 3.5mm jack, so by unplugging and replugging the jack a few times, it should be fixed!
2. The TV cannot be detected at all from the phone in the YouTube app; in general, it will rarely appear, so the connection can be made via YouTube code, and not only that, many times the videos you try to play from your phone either won't play at all on the TV or you have to wait forever...
3. These types of TVs definitely need to be completely unplugged from the power to reset!
For example, my CosmoteTV app was stuck, and no matter how many times I turned off the TV, the app wouldn't reset until I unplugged the TV from the power for a few seconds. There is also a function somewhere in the settings to restart it, so someone can use that!
4. In movie playback, when you press the arrow to fast forward, it generally takes a while...
5. Finally, for the TV to turn on after being unplugged or restarted, it takes more than 1 minute to turn on and be usable without lagging at first!
6. It does not recognize AVI files.
That's all!
