  • Choose the MONTANA Crackle Effect Spray for the distinctive crackle appearance (e.g., for a vintage or worn look). 
  • The previous coating of your object is only necessary with Montana Gold colors (it is recommended that the thicker the base layer, the stronger the effect). 
  • Allow at least 45 minutes but no more than 24 hours drying time for the base layer before applying the CRACKLE effect (drying time may vary due to temperature, humidity, and coating thickness). 
  • Apply spray strokes from left to right with a crossing motion (cross coating) for better results. 
  • After extensive application of the CRACKLE Effect in the primed area, the aged/crackled effect will begin to appear. 
  • The CRACKLE spray is highly opaque and can be fully covered once dried and hardened (after 24 hours) with Montana ACRYLIC markers as well as with regular acrylic paints. 
  • For application on polystyrene/Styrofoam, priming with Montana primer is required (make sure to fully seal the surface).
