Enter the video
Make full use of the capabilities of Nikon's full-frame mirrorless Z cameras, such as the Z8, Z9, and others, with the new Nikon NIKKOR Z 28-135mm F4 PZ lens. Capable of handling footage up to 8K, while being small and light enough for handheld shooting, it further opens up creative possibilities.
Designed to be exceptional
With servo zoom control and suitable for handheld and gimbal shooting, this is a well-balanced and reliable lens for videographers or filmmakers who want to work with the most minimalist setup possible. Nikon's high-performance glass and Meso Amorphous optical coatings ensure remarkably clear shots from any distance, even in bright sunlight or studio lighting.
Unique
This lens is distinguished from standard NIKKOR Z photographic lenses by a yellow ring, indicating that it is specifically designed for video. This shows that the lens is compatible with a range of video-focused accessories, such as matte boxes and focus tracking systems. The lens features video-specific functions, such as easy in/out, which reduces the need for a focus tracking unit, as well as customizable zoom speed that can be selected from 11 different levels depending on the task at hand.
Position recording and recall allow for reframing shots between takes, linear manual focus offers precise, repeatable results, and the direction of the focus/zoom rings can be reversed where desired.
Workflow, Simplified
Suitable for capturing a whole range of different shots, the NIKKOR Z 28-135mm is capable of both close-up and distant shots. With a minimum focusing distance of just 34 cm between 28 and 50 mm and only 57 cm at 135 mm, you can capture dynamic close-ups with ease without needing to switch to an alternative lens with a wider angle. Through a computer with NX Tether installed or a smart device using SnapBridge/NX Field, the lens can also zoom remotely, reducing any chances of shots being affected by shake during operation.
The lens comes with a rectangular lens hood, which features a filter window that allows adjustments to variable ND filters without needing to remove the hood during shooting.
For all locations
Whether you are in the studio or outdoors, the NIKKOR Z 28-135mm F4 PZ is just as comfortable as the lens. Thanks to its high resistance to dust and splashes/droplets and Nikon's fluorine coating, the lens is suitable for use even in adverse conditions, while being easy to clean when needed.
