INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • Apply the product and carefully spread evenly on the skin, on uncovered parts of the body.
  • Do not use under clothing.
  • Do not spray directly on the face.
  • Wash hands with soap and water after application.
  • Do not use on children under 18 years of age.
  • Application up to once daily.
  • Ideal for travelers: Repels mosquitoes that may carry the parasite that can cause malaria and the yellow fever virus.

The Autan® Defense Long Protection body insect repellent is dermatologically tested and is designed to protect you for up to 10 hours from mosquitoes and 12 hours from ticks.

  • Aedes mosquitoes (carriers of the yellow fever virus): up to 9 hours
  • Ticks: up to 5 hours

Active Substances

DEET (N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide) 50% w/w: DEET confuses the sensors of insects so that they do not "detect" human skin easily.

  • In 100g of product, there are 50g of pure DEET (very high concentration).

Instructions for Use

  • Apply the product sparingly and spread carefully and evenly on the skin, on the exposed parts of the body. 
  • Wear long pants and/or a long-sleeved shirt. 
  • Do not use under clothing. 
  • When applying, keep the container at least 15 cm away from the skin. 
  • Do not spray directly onto the face. 
  • If using the product together with sunscreen, apply the sunscreen first and apply the product after 30 minutes. 
  • To protect your face from bites, spray the product first onto your palms and then spread it on your face. 

Restrictions and Warnings

  • Do not use on children under 18 years old. 
  • Do not use more than once a day. 
  • Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, nose, lips, and damaged skin. 
  • Do not use the product on areas where frequent skin bending occurs due to joint movement; for example, do not use it in the hollows of the knees or elbows. 
  • When using, keep the container at least 15 centimeters away from the skin. 
  • Avoid contact of the product with food. 
  • Wash your hands thoroughly with water and soap before eating or drinking. 
  • The use of the product is not recommended for vulnerable groups, pregnant or breastfeeding women. 
  • Wash the treated skin when protection from mosquitoes or ticks is no longer needed or if irritation occurs. 
  • Use the product indoors only in well-ventilated areas, and outdoors. 
  • Avoid contact with synthetic objects (including eyeglass frames), synthetic/leather clothing, and treated surfaces.
