El Jolgorio whiskey is produced by Casa Cortés, in Oaxaca, Mexico. The Cortés family has been making whiskey since 1840 and has contributed to improving production processes. Now represented by the fifth generation, the family is present at all stages, from planting to distillation. The company is dedicated to preserving traditional production methods and the culture of local communities in the area. It works closely with local producers to make whiskey in a sustainable manner, using environmentally friendly methods and contributing to local economic development.

This whiskey is made from Arroqueño maguey, the Americana variety. The Americana agave is a very large plant that typically takes 16 to 20 years to reach maturity. The harvest took place in 2019, and 320 bottles were produced for this 12th edition.
