Review this product
  • Paper quality
  • Was it easy to read?
  • Was it interesting enough?
  • I liked the writing style
  • I would read a book by the same author
  • I would recommend it for reading
  • ▪️Spice level: 3/5
▫️A few words about the book: The book's trope is single dad x nanny & grumpy x sunshine. Our story is about a single dad who moves to the now familiar town of Dream Harbor, aiming to meet people and make a fresh start with his daughter. But he will meet Iris, who will end up being his daughter's nanny... and not only that, of course!
▪️Book's style/writing: The book, like the others in the series (it can also be read as a standalone), is fast-paced while the style is simple with plenty of romance. It doesn't tire you while reading, and the tender moments are just enough to be comforting.
▫️Why I loved it: First of all, I loved the tropes because they were more unique than the usual ones we find in this kind of book. I also liked the dynamic between the characters and how everything came together through simple everyday moments. I can easily say that after the first one, this is my next favorite in the Dream Harbor series.
▪️Why you should read it: If you need a feel-good book for your holidays with a cozy atmosphere that will make you smile several times and crave pancakes, then it will be the ideal companion for you.

  • A famous chef, an unexpected new beginning in a small town, and a café full of flavors, emotions, and tender moments. The Strawberry Pancake Hangout is a warm, romantic story that combines humor, the concept of family – by choice – and everyday life, with a touch of magic. A feel-good read for those who love contemporary romantic stories with heart, care, and a happy ending.

This book is a blend of cozy vibes and the beloved small town trope. If you enjoy this style, I believe you will particularly enjoy it. Here we also meet characters we have encountered in Pumpkin Spice Café, which adds an extra sense of familiarity.

The atmosphere of the place, the calm rhythms, and the secondary characters create a warm, welcoming setting – perfect for getting lost in. The writing is simple yet beautiful, and the narrative flows pleasantly.

What touched me the most was the relationship between the father and his daughter. It was very beautiful to watch their evolution as they gradually learn to live together and become a real dad and daughter. There was something very tender and genuine in this part of the story that will stay with me.

  • A book that seems to be spring and only the cover! However, the interior will reward you as you will find a wonderful little town, Dream Harbor, well-written characters, a light fluffy romance atmosphere with pancakes, a grumpy single dad chef, and the nanny. And yes, it’s spicy! Just what I think is needed for a palette cleanser, as we say in my village.

Archer Burr certainly didn’t plan to stay in a small town as a chef in a little restaurant making pancakes. The Diner needs a chef, and Archer needs a community for his daughter so their lives can gradually improve.

On the other hand, there’s Iris who desperately wants a job after her failed attempts to find one and keep it. So when Archer is looking for a nanny, she thinks, why not? Now she’s living in the same house with her handsome employer who likes to cook at night without a shirt. It shouldn’t be hard to keep things professional, right?

With a guaranteed happy ending, a sweet light book, you will love The Diner Strawberry Pancake.
