The Datalogic Magellan 1500i presentation scanner reads 1D and 2D barcodes, as well as QR codes. Illumix technology adjusts the lighting and allows codes to be read from mobile phone, tablet, and other terminal screens. The motion sensor automatically activates the lighting when it detects an object in the scanning area.

It can be used in either presentation or handheld mode, switching automatically when removed from or returned to its stand. Successful reads are indicated by a sound and LED, while the external Read Indicator (ERI) provides additional visual feedback. It also supports image capture and deactivation of EAS security tags.
