The highly successful Kairiki 8 braided line, after many years in the market, has been upgraded and is now presented as Kairiki 8+. Shimano's technical department collaborated with top Japanese experts to research and develop a line that differs from the classic PE lines available. One of the key improvements in Kairiki 8+ is the renewed three-layer coating with the innovative Izanas SF600 material from Toyobo, providing resistance to saltwater and color that does not fade. The silicone coating reduces noise in the guides of the rod and in the roller of the reel. The structure of the new Kairiki 8+ with 8 strands and 3 layers offers great strength from the small diameters.
