Advantages: Allows for protection of the drive shaft during the extraction of the flywheel.

Usage: The protectors screw onto the engine crankshaft and protect it when the magnet is removed. They are used when there are relatively small nuts to secure the magnet to the shaft. It is very important to use them in engines where the lubricant of the final bearings passes through the shaft (hollow crankshafts).
