A rugged shoe that exceeds the endurance of the average user and reaches professional standards.
I use them for outings because I like the style, I get them dirty in the mountains, I wear them instead of safety shoes at construction sites during engineering inspections. They have never let me down. I even stepped on a nail and didn't feel a thing. Of course, they don't have the safety certifications of a purely professional shoe, but they are an intermediate solution that adequately covers many needs.
BUT
Salomon has, for some reason, changed their line in the past 2-3 years and now all their shoes (including this one) are elongated. I used to wear size 43 in old Salomons. Today I have the following options: Either I get 44 2/3 and trip at the front due to the gap (I've done this with the Forces GTX 8" and the techamphibian 5) or I get 44 (like these) and my feet hurt on the sides from the tightness... I've heard exactly the same from many who have Salomons in recent years.
It's my favorite shoe but unfortunately it hurts me after 4-5 hours of use. At €95, which is what I paid, I believe it has no competitor. Generally, it's hard to find a competitor for Salomon. If they bring back their old fit, it will be ideal.

Τα χρησιμοποιώ σε εξόδους γιατί μου αρέσει το στυλ, τα λερώνω σε βουνό, τα φοράω αντί παπουτσιού ασφαλείας σε εργοτάξιο σε επιβλέψεις μηχανικού. Με έχουν βγάλει σε όλα ασπροπρόσωπο. Μέχρι και πρόκα πάτησα και δεν κατάλαβε τίποτα. Φυσικά δεν έχει τις πιστοποιήσεις ασφαλείας ενός καθαρά επαγγελματικού παπουτσιού αλλά είναι μία ενδιάμεση λύση που καλύπτει επαρκώς πολλές ανάγκες.
ΑΛΛΑ
Η Salomon έχει 2-3 χρόνια που έχει αλλάξει για κάποιο λόγο τη γραμμή της και πλέον τα έχει κάνει όλα τα παπούτσια (μαζί με το συγκεκριμένο) μακρόστενα. Στα παλιά salomon φορούσα 43. Σήμερα έχω τις εξής επιλογές: Ή θα πάρω 44 2/3 και θα σκοντάφτω μπροστά από το κενό (το έχω κάνει με τα Forces GTX 8" και τα techamphibian 5) ή θα πάρω 44 (όπως αυτά) και θα πονάω δεξιά και αριστερά από το σφίξιμο... Το ίδιο ακριβώς έχω ακούσει από πολλούς που έχουν salomon τα τελευταία χρόνια.
Είναι το αγαπημένο μου παπούτσι αλλά δυστυχώς με πονάει μετά από 4-5 ώρες χρήσης. Στα 95€ που το πέτυχα πιστεύω πως δεν έχει ανταγωνιστή. Γενικά από salomon δύσκολο να βρεθεί ανταγωνιστής. Εάν επαναφέρουν και τη φόρμα τους θα είναι ιδανικό.
