The AnyTone AT-D168UV is a portable dual-band radio for digital DMR, compatible with ETSI DMR Tier 1 and 2, while also supporting traditional FM. It features true VFO operation and configurable auto repeater function, making it suitable for amateur radio.

The amateur radio operator can set frequencies and transmission parameters, rather than relying solely on pre-programmed memory channels. The AT-D168UV offers memory channels, with the ability to store up to 4000 channels.

The device has the ability to change most parameters without the need for a computer, although some settings require appropriate computer software. It includes storage for 500,000 digital contacts and 10,000 talk groups.

It supports analog functions such as DTMF, CTCSS, and DCS, as well as encoding with two-tone and 5-tone signals. It also has the capability of a 1750 Hz call tone. The device offers extensive customization options with buttons that can be assigned to different functions.

The large 1.77" color display is easily readable, with adjustable backlighting. It features a signal strength bar graph and the ability to store multiple DMR IDs for flexible use.

The device is equipped with a USB-C port for charging and programming. In analog mode, it has the ability to transmit location data as a "fixed transmitter." The headphone/microphone connection is compatible with Kenwood and Wouxun.

The transmission power can be adjusted in 4 levels, from 0.2 to 5 Watts (VHF) or 4.5 Watts (UHF). Diamond antennas are replaceable via an SMA recessed connector, and the programming cable is included in the delivery.
