What is it?

It is a polysaccharide, known as glycosaminoglycan (GAG), which is a natural structural component of the human body. This molecule is a fundamental building block in the synthesis of the skin's dermis. Hyaluronic acid is produced by fibroblasts and surrounds the cells of the epidermis, while it is also present in all connective tissues and joints. Over time, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin decreases, causing it to lose its youthful appearance and firmness, become dehydrated, and develop wrinkles.
