The Multipatchcord is a specific type of fiber optic patchcord, made with a multi-fiber optical cable. Usually, the cable features a UV-resistant coating, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Each end of the cable has connectors corresponding to the number of fibers in the cable.
To facilitate the assembly of the multipatchcord, either by wall mounting or by connecting to patch panel ports, two types of connections are possible – cascade or straight. In the cascade connection, each connector is attached to a cable of different length.
