In the direction of including all students, regardless of their individual characteristics, a set of pedagogical interventions is being negotiated that follow the principles of humanism, holistic cultivation, and the connection between individual and social goals.
A means to achieve this aim is the shift from educational material that presents elements a-temporal and views that are naturalized and rationalized, in accordance with "common sense", to historically and culturally situated texts that promote the development of critical thinking.
Through a set of pedagogical and research processes, the connection between Critical Pedagogy and research-action is highlighted: the discourse of power and its characteristics, the construction of identity through the encounter with the Other, the moral commitment to defending human rights, and social activism.
These processes are implemented within the framework of democratic learning environments through a structured, participatory, and dialogical research process, and can lead to awareness and critical consciousness transforming the attitudes of social subjects and leading to their empowerment and emancipation.
