The Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM is a versatile telephoto zoom lens for the Canon EF mount. It features 4-stop optical image stabilization, a fast USM autofocus motor, ASC anti-reflective coatings, and a durable, weather-sealed L-series construction for demanding outdoor photography.

Versatile 100–400mm Range & Superior Optics

The lens offers a versatile 100–400mm focal length range, ideal for sports and wildlife photography. Its optical construction consists of 21 elements in 16 groups, including Fluorite and Super UD glass elements that eliminate chromatic aberrations. On APS-C sensor cameras, the angle of view is equivalent to that of a 160–640mm focal length on a full-frame camera.

4-Stop Image Stabilization & ASC Coating

The built-in Image Stabilizer provides up to 4 stops of correction, enabling sharp handheld shots without a tripod even in low light. Air Sphere Coating (ASC) technology dramatically reduces internal reflections, flare and ghosting, maintaining consistent contrast and sharpness even when shooting into the light.

Fast USM Focusing & Close-Up Shots
