The i-Size, or the R129 regulation, is a car seat legislation that uses a new way of crash testing for infants and children, including a new side impact test. i-Size seats are chosen based on the child's height to ensure the child is the correct size for the seat.

i-Size car seats are considered the safest, with improved head and neck protection. This is due to the following:

  • Use of advanced Q dummies for safety testing.

It goes in and out of the car easily if removal is needed. However, the child sweats constantly in the seat now that it's summer, the fabric quality is not good. In the Inglesina infant seat I have, the child does not sweat. You get what you pay for. The worst thing, though, is that the belt constantly gets tangled, the straps twist, and every time I struggle to fix them. The good thing is that the belt goes in easily, it doesn't get stuck in the buckle like in another similar Bebe Stars seat I have.
