The Chipolino Marathon tricycle can be used with a parent pushing it by the handle or with the child riding independently using the pedals. The rotating seat has two positions, facing forwards or towards the parent, while the backrest reclines for comfort. The parent handle, canopy and safety bar are removable, allowing the tricycle to be used without them.

When the tricycle is pushed by an adult, the front-wheel pedals are disengaged and the child can rest their feet on the footrest. It features a five-point safety harness with soft shoulder pads, rear-wheel brakes and a front-wheel cover to prevent feet from getting caught.
