LECUA-EX, which reads the motion pulses of a rotary encoder that is completely disconnected from the audio signal path, fully suppresses the degradation of sound quality and allows smooth volume control. The LIFES preamplifier circuit is assembled with custom-made components and is directly connected to the LECUA-EX system, with the four units mounted in a fully balanced configuration in completely identical operating conditions to implement the ideal structure as a preamplifier.

This allows you to adjust the left and right balance (L: -6dB to R: -6dB) without causing wear, set the level for each output system in bi-amp mode (±6dB for each system), and adjust the output level for different listening conditions. It is also equipped with an input shift function (0 to -6dB for each input terminal) that allows you to align the levels of multiple input devices, achieving a wide variety of control functions despite the simple circuit configuration.

The fluorescent display features a dimmer function and shines on the front panel with a white finish with excellent visibility. We have also considered ease of viewing from the listening position. Normally, this would show the input and output volume levels, but from the remote control, the input and output volume levels of the display, but from the remote control, the volume level display can be magnified to four times its size. Additionally, the status of various operation switches can be checked with LED indicators within the acrylic panel.

The LECUA-EX volume control combines a high-precision rotary encoder with a newly developed weighted rotary mechanism to achieve high reliability and a high-quality feel as you rotate the large, machined aluminum knob in 192 discrete steps from 0 to 95.5 dB. A tactile setting that smoothly accelerates the increase/decrease of the volume by increasing the rotation speed or by pressing and holding the remote control provides a comfortable volume operation that surpasses conventional volume devices using variable resistors.

All audio circuit boards in the C-10X use a gold-plated substrate with a thickness of 100 μm that eliminates the special resistance coating that negatively affects sound quality due to dielectric effects. LUXMAN's original expertise in pursuing high-quality sound is also evident in the original angle-free wiring pattern that achieves smooth and stress-free signal transmission by keeping the signal line trace width as constant as possible and designing a smooth curve.

The metal casing features a loop-free frame structure that does not create a ground loop and also isolates the effects of generated magnetic fields and the increase in complex ground impedance due to frame current. The C-10X is equipped with large cast iron feet with density gradient that protect sensitive musical signals from unnecessary vibrations by steadily reducing internally generated vibrations, while also preventing external vibrations.
