Small Frame. Huge Sound.

The NXL 14-A is the most compact active speaker in the professional NXL series. Offered in sleek black or white finish, this point source speaker is designed for clarity, power, and versatility in any live setup or installation. Ideal for voice reproduction, it excels in compact live systems paired with SUB series subwoofers, immersive setups, or as a reliable fill speaker. The NXL 14-A delivers professional audio performance where it matters most.

Power that Moves

The most powerful amplifier in its category. RCF's improvements in transducer design make them stronger and stronger. With 2,100 W of power, the 2-channel Class-D NXL MK2 amplifier is 50% more powerful than previous models. The NXL handles extreme sound pressure levels with ultra-fast attack, realistic transient response, and very low power loss. NXL units are energy efficient, so no cooling fan is needed. The amplifier is connected to a solid aluminum heat exchanger at the back of the enclosure, which has no moving parts. The input circuit features a new low-distortion design with an advanced safety limiter, maintaining the true character of the input signal at all levels. All NXL amplifiers are designed according to EN62368-1 for maximum safety and feature a switch-mode power supply section with minimal weight.

  • 1: Balanced line input
  • 2: Balanced line connection/output
  • 3: Volume control [rotate to adjust volume]
  • 4: Status LED: Signal [green - safe input level] and Overload [red - limiting in action]
  • 5: Preset selection button
  • 6: Presets:
    • LINEAR - Finely tuned sound for better clarity
    • BOOST - Enhanced volume for background music or heavy bass
    • STAGE - Perfect tuning for use in frontfill
  • 7: Aluminum rear panel

High Frequencies

The 1.75" compression driver features a newly developed dome made from PKX (Polyether Ketone Ether Modified). PKX is a rigid yet lightweight colorless organic polymer. It is perhaps the best among thermoplastic resin films for their specifications in audio applications. Developed by the RCF Precision Transducers laboratory and reinforced with reinforcing ribs for high-performance thin dome designs, this new compression driver offers greater accuracy and reliability.

Low Frequencies

The dual woofer configuration features two 6-inch neodymium woofers designed for powerful bass performance. The cone is made of water-resistant fiber material, ensuring durability and consistent sound quality in various environments. It also includes a poly-cotton M-roll surround that enhances its efficiency and overall sound output. Additionally, the over-vented magnetic structure allows for better cooling and improved power handling, resulting in cleaner and more reliable sound reproduction.

Superior Directivity

The symmetrically aligned transducers ensure coherent wavefront projection and smooth response, providing consistent directional control in both horizontal and vertical orientation. The 100º x 70º rotatable waveguide produces accurate, consistent coverage. This specific configuration allows for excellent control of directional characteristics, significantly enhancing clarity in challenging acoustic environments.

Combine it with SUB AX

Unlock the true potential of your NXL 14-A with RCF's SUB AX series. The key to optimizing your sound system is the precise matching between your subs and tops. This not only improves sound quality but also enhances bass response, giving your audience both the beat they can hear and the atmosphere they can feel.

With the internal factory-preset crossover settings for the NXL 14-A, your sound system is ready for display in a few easy steps. Simply connect your speakers to the SUB AX, select the crossover preset from the user interface, and you're ready. The linear phase FiRPHASE extends to match the subwoofer's phase at lower frequencies.

Available in 15" and 18" models, the SUB AX subwoofers deliver earth-shaking bass (up to 135 dB) with impeccable clarity by combining powerful 2200 Watt Class-D amplifiers with high-power, long-excursion transducers. Featuring stereo crossovers, 8-band EQ, delays, factory-preset crossover settings, a color touchscreen, and remote control via Bluetooth®, the SUB AX allows you to effortlessly customize your live sound. Built for the road with a rugged design and cardioid configuration option, the SUB AX is the perfect solution for powerful, consistent bass on the go.

Engage Your Audience

Based on RCF precision transducers and wooden enclosures, the NXL series is RCF's most versatile active speaker system when high-power and pristine sound is required. The internal DSP features a wide range of protections for the speakers and includes special FiRPHASE and BMC processing to achieve coherent sound distribution without phase distortion and deep, tight bass at any volume. With its improved design and small footprint, the NXL series provides a powerful sound system when space for speakers is limited.

Built for everyday use

Designed as the ideal portable sound system for everyday use, the NXL 14-A offers a variety of features for professional users. The waterproof enclosure is made from high-strength plywood and coated with a robust, scratch-resistant polyurethane paint. Its sleek appearance provides absolute flexibility for tight spaces and small stages with excellent power without obstructing critical viewpoints. A strong powder-coated metal grille protects the front, while an acoustically transparent foam backing inside the grille protects against dust and moisture.

Place it anywhere

With multiple rigging accessories and the discreet cabinet form factor, the NXL 14-A is suitable for a wide range of configurations, such as hanging, pole mounting, trusses, wall, or ceiling—at any angle in horizontal or vertical orientation. The rotating waveguide (and the rotating logo) allows for perfect dispersion control in any position.

Speaker placement is quick and simple. The convenient Quick Fit receptacle on the top and bottom of the enclosure allows for fast connection to accessories. Regardless of the setup, you will always find a place for the NXL 14-A.

Tour Ready Construction

Attached to a compact machined aluminum structure on the rear panel, the amplifier ensures efficient heat dissipation. The enclosure is internally reinforced and robust, equipped with waterproof powerCON® TRUE1 TOP power plugs, guaranteeing durability under any external conditions.

Bass motion control

When searching for extended bass with improved performance, RCF engineers found a way to remove the high-pass filter, replacing it with a forward-thinking approach. Introducing BMC (Bass Motion Control), the new advanced woofer excursion management function. The speaker equipped with BMC can handle the lowest acoustic frequencies without affecting the woofer's stability, with extended linearity and better sound integrity.

The BMC method works by creating a complete map of the woofer's dynamic behavior to create a custom algorithm that only limits over-excursions. This gives full freedom of signal reproduction to the transducer. While high-pass filters normally protect the woofer's motion from becoming destructive but change the phase behavior, the new BMC algorithm breaks conventional rules.

A new perspective on linearity

RCF speakers are designed using a proprietary and advanced FiR digital technology, designed to provide transparent sound, absolute clarity, and perfect imaging to the listener.
The special FiRPHASE filters allow coherent sound distribution for all listeners without phase distortions, ensuring minimal delays in the system.
