from agv k4s 10 years of abuse and it didn't suffer anything. i've had it for 1 month at 400 euros very noisy luckily i have a fairing and i hide. light good fit. the pads come out with difficulty and snap in even more difficultly. and i already noticed a crack in the visor at the bottom near the closure which i didn't hit anywhere it didn't fall anywhere

After a year of use, the peripheral plastic at the base of the helmet started to come off.
I took it to the company for repair and after 8-9 months it started to come off again.
Other than that, it's okay as a helmet, although expensive (€320) when I bought it in 3/24.
P.S.: The helmet is never stored in the top case, only inside the house.

Nice helmet and comfortable on the head but the noise is unbelievable! With all the air vents and the visor closed, even after 90-100 km/h the noise is incredible. Air passes through the bases for the Sena intercom, so on trips or long rides it's 100% worth putting duct tape over them so your head doesn't explode. With the visor open and without the nose guard, somewhere around 80 km/h the air starts whistling like crazy inside the helmet. And all this noise on a CB500X with a tall windshield where the air hardly hits the rider at all.
Would I have bought it if I had taken a 5-minute ride first? No way!
Also, the Pinlock that came in the package barely lasted through last winter and before summer even arrived it loosened and opened from the bottom, so it needed replacing in less than 10 months of use.

I compare it with the previous one I have from the same company and same category, the HJC FG-ST 7-year-old helmet
    1. it is lighter
    2. the fit on the head is incredible, it does not tire
    3. it is clearly quieter with the vents open and if you close them it is almost completely silent at speeds up to 120km

To add, I have a short windshield so the wind hits the helmet fully. The hum mentioned in another comment is only heard when there is a strong headwind in the direction you are moving, but it is not annoying. If it were so annoying, I wouldn't be able to listen to music.

Remains to see how it performs on a trip

Amazing helmet in terms of fit, materials, design, colors, ergonomics but..... it is disastrous for the ears!

And I know because I pay attention to this now due to previous damage I have suffered. This helmet caused me new tinnitus on a trip I took, even though I was wearing 30db foam earplugs (the maximum). My old AGV Ti-Tech helmet of 15 years is infinitely better in terms of noise.

It might be okay for some people who have a full windshield on their bike, but on mine, which has a small windshield, the noise was tremendous.

And no, as someone says below, it wasn't with the vents open but closed. Simply, after 60 it makes a tremendous hum that is destructive for the low frequencies of the ears.

In fact, in one review (https://www.championhelmets.com/us/magazine/post/HJC-F71-Carbon-Review-And-Road-test) I read that they measured 105db (the noisiest of the review)! For your information, anything above 80db starts to cause deafness.

If you don't want to go deaf, stay away.

Whether a helmet is noisy is evaluated with the visor closed and all the vents shut. This particular helmet, with everything closed, has good sound insulation. However, if you want to improve it, you can add material in the spots where the speakers go. With this improvement, the helmet gains a bit more insulation. In general, don't be afraid to buy it and don't listen to those who say it's noisy; they judge with the vents open. I mean, if you open the windows in a car and drive at 100km/h, won't there be noise? Let's use a bit of logic, guys. Very good vents. Good tinted internal visor. Visor that locks and seals at the last notch. It's a bit heavier than I would like. Very good helmet.

Incredible noise!!!! When the chin vent is open, you can't even hear your own thoughts!!!! I am a FANATIC of HJC and this particular model is my worst purchase in the last 20 years!!! I only give two stars for the unquestionable material quality of HJC. Also, the Pinlock lasted only one winter and loosened from the top side. If I need a pinlock every three months (that's how long winter lasts here since I live in Crete), these are very serious shortcomings from such a company!

XAMENA money for the f 71 series has excessive noise with the air vent of the chin open, resulting in speeds of 70 km/h and above where you can't hear the intercom due to the noise, and the internal tinted glass, which provides moderate sun coverage, will require you to wear sunglasses to be fully covered. In my opinion, they should have helmet stores for testing before you go to buy a pig in a poke

I give it 4 stars due to the noise it makes when opening the air vents, which is common in most helmets. However, the helmet is very stable on the head once you close the vents. It has very good sound insulation, excellent visibility, and high quality. Since I have tried it and know its positives and negatives, I would buy it again. Also, the color I chose is nice and the price difference from the other F71 solid color helmets is +50€

  • from agv k4s 10 years of abuse and it didn't suffer anything. i've had it for 1 month at 400 euros very noisy luckily i have a fairing and i hide. light good fit. the pads come out with difficulty and snap in even more difficultly. and i already noticed a crack in the visor at the bottom near the closure which i didn't hit anywhere it didn't fall anywhere

  • After a year of use, the peripheral plastic at the base of the helmet started to come off.
I took it to the company for repair and after 8-9 months it started to come off again.
Other than that, it's okay as a helmet, although expensive (€320) when I bought it in 3/24.
P.S.: The helmet is never stored in the top case, only inside the house.

  • Nice helmet and comfortable on the head but the noise is unbelievable!
