No when the food is over you don't have to reschedule. You can set the meals away from home, change the hours or even the portions. The feeder has an app that you download to your phone and connect once via Bluetooth and WiFi, the set up is easy. Once you are set you can check if the food dropped at what time and how many portions were dropped, even if you are not at home and not connected to the same WiFi. The app keeps a log of meals.
You can do these things away from home, through the application.
