The heroes wear wings on their broad shoulders like those you have always envied. You want to become a hero. You would even give your life to find yourself for a moment in the infernal darkness of questioning the impossible right at the crack.
The poems of Lamia are published fifty years after a landmark year in the history of modern Greece, the year of the metapolitefsi. However, as snapshots-recordings of a mother's interaction with her daughter in the first part, and as reflections of a solitary man in the second, they seem to remain outside of History.
Perhaps, however, these poems become unsolicited witnesses to something paradoxical: to those strictly private moments, known to us all, that nourish heroism before it is transferred to the public arena, historically incubating any "miracle."
